Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible to provide specialist mechanical engineering advice, ensure robust change control processes, Asset Integrity management, solve complex problems, and support business priorities for continuous improvement across various streams of engineering on site. In this role you will also: Govern and control the maintenance of South Walker Creek Maintenance/Operation''s blue print (Engineering standards, specifications drawings, processes, systems and procedures) Develop and support the delivery of site improvement initiatives Interface with the Reliability team to ensure the continuing performance of site assets Support resources involved in the integrated delivery of projects by the site Assist engineering team, asset projects, shutdown team or major projects group as required by site Provision of technical knowledge and support to the Maintenance and Projects team on site Provide mentoring and act as a leader within the Engineering team. Ability to meet assigned KPIs Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times and comply with HSE policies and procedures. Demonstrate leadership in HSE through personal behaviours and conversations. Promote awareness of HSE practices and imbed a safety culture. Report all HSE incidents. Experience: Self-motivated and strive to improve methods of work. Previously worked in coal mining (or other mining) industry. You will be a qualified Mechanical Engineer, with a proven work experience. RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland), NER (National Engineering Register) Registration, and EA (Engineers Australia) Chartership qualifications are advantageous. You will have a detailed understanding of engineering principles, standards and processes, along with drawing management and document control databases. Due to the nature of this role you will need to be an engaging, outgoing and a technically competent Engineer with a professional and process driven approach to Engineering. Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent administration and record keeping skills. Confident in liaising with various stakeholders (maintenance and operations) to ensure effective and safe data collection and escalating corrective actions considered critical to reduce occurrence of breakdowns / incidents. Flexible approach to work and comfortable working in a dynamic environment. Experience in SAP and proficiency in Excel highly desirable. Experience in supervising a Maintenance crew or previously held a Supervisory appointment would be advantageous.
