About the job Reporting to the Operations & Supply Chain Manager, Australasia, at the earliest possible date we are looking for a: Planner & Inventory Manager. Your mission will be to manage and co-ordinate the planning of operations and tracking of inventory and to ensure product is accessible and scheduled to the forecasted needs of the business and its customers. What will your daily responsibilities include in this role? Plan production schedules, methods and processes in line with the requirements of the business. This may include but is not limited to; tray assembly and program updates, work orders, production receipting, inventory adjustments, maintaining the item master and item branch master, BOMs, etc. Analyse production specifications and warehouse capacity. Work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve optimum inventory levels, avoiding excess inventory holdings. Plan and schedule workflow for each operation according to assembly sequences and lead times. Provide reports for the required departments, production reports, calculations of standard costs, etc. Manage the national stock take process, coordinate the physical count and analyse the results. Liaise with finance and external auditors as required. Work closely with other functional areas, such as procurement, sales, quality and operations, to ensure alignment and collaboration across the organisation. Work always to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Build strong customer relations (both internal and external) whilst enhancing the reputation of Exide Technologies as an ethical supplier of quality products. Our requirements 5+ years experience in a planning, inventory management or supply chain roles in an industrial environment. Accuracy and strong attention to detail Exceptional written and verbal communication skills A can do attitude and be a positive team player Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel capability. Proficiency in ERP systems. Exposure to Oracle preferred but not essential.
