As their strong pipeline of work continues to expand, an exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to join the site team on a multiresidential development. The Opportunity As the site-based HSE Advisor, youll take ownership of all health, safety, and environmental initiatives on this landmark project. Working closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and site personnel, youll champion a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance across every stage of delivery. Key Responsibilities Conduct site inductions and maintain accurate safety documentation and registers. Undertake regular safety inspections, SWMS observations, and plant/equipment audits. Lead incident investigations, manage corrective actions, and communicate outcomes effectively. Oversee hazard identification and ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company systems. Collaborate with project management to plan for key safety milestones and risk controls. Support subcontractor management to ensure compliance with safety requirements and documentation. Verify safety compliance of materials, equipment, and services during procurement. Uphold company safety, quality, and environmental standards across all works. Safety Leadership Actively participate in and lead toolbox talks, prestarts, and subcontractor meetings. Facilitate safety awareness training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain signage, exclusion zones, and site emergency and first aid facilities. Promote a Think Safe, Work Safe, Live Well mindset across all site teams. About You Strong understanding of Queensland WHS legislation and applicable Codes of Practice. Demonstrated experience in an HSE Advisor or Coordinator role within the construction industry. Proven ability to manage safety compliance across complex, subcontractorheavy environments. Proficient in HSE management software (Procore, HammerTech, or similar). Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proactive, detailoriented, and confident in leading safety initiatives on site. Relevant WHS qualifications (minimum Cert IV in WHS, Diploma preferred).
