Use your project safety expertise to contribute to delivering water infrastructure projects providing sustainable water for the environment and communities of NSW Temporary Clerk Grade 9/10 role up to June 2027 Located in Deniliquin, Albury, Wagga Wagga or other southern regional location by negotiation Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 plus super The Senior Project Safety Partner is responsible for providing strategic WHS advice and support to ensure that the Water Group construction projects meet the relevant work health and safety frameworks, polices, procedures and practices and comply with all legislative and regulatory requirements throughout their lifecycle. The role partners with Project leads and Industry Partners, undertaking verification and validation activities and promotion of industry best WHS practices and standards. This role is based in Deniliquin, Albury, Wagga Wagga or southern regional office near the respective projects and does require travel to site. About You To be successful in the role you will demonstrated experience in a civil construction or similar industry. You will be a good communicator with strong influencing and negotiating skills enabling you to influence and achieve safety outcomes with stakeholders who have a range of different priorities. As a subject matter expert and leader in safety, you have the demonstrated ability to build and embed a high performance WHS culture by partnering with contractors and managers and business units and providing advice and recommendations on WHS risk management, audit and incident investigation matters to facilitate effective decision making. You will have a sound knowledge of WHS legislation and Codes of Practice and a genuine interest in keeping abreast of leading practice WHS solutions to support a sustainable and ongoing high performance WHS culture across the organisation. Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety or related discipline and/or relevant experience DCCEEW conserves and protects the states natural environment. It manages the NSW national park estate, including its rich and diverse biodiversity and Aboriginal cultural heritage for future generations. DCCEEW also ensures sustainable management of water resources across the state, to support the environment, communities and industry.
