We are seeking casual Direct Support Workers in the Moreton Bay Region, including North Lakes, Redcliffe and surrounding areas. As a Direct Support Worker, youll be integral to the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds. You will assist with: Providing support on matters of personal care, including showering, toileting, dressing and more Administering medications Transferring individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and general assistance with mobility Domestic duties including cleaning, laundry or meal preparation Community engagement, such as attending doctors appointments, grocery shopping or other social or recreational activities of their choice About the role 24/7 assistance the more available you are, the more shifts we can offer you. Great communication skills, dedicated to providing the best service for every person. Good listening skills, able to work autonomously and as part of a team. Calm and confident in all environments, understanding professional boundaries. Capable of providing personal care with dignity and sensitivity. An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card). Commitment to infection prevention and control measures including the use of PPE as directed. A Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle. A smartphone with iOS 13.0 and up or Android 6.0 and up operating system.
