Our Client We represent a long-established Australian gold producer with a strong operating reputation and ongoing investment in plant and process performance. The business continues to optimise production and recovery across its operations and requires an experienced Processing Manager to lead site-based metallurgical performance, people, and improvement initiatives. Client identity remains confidential at this stage. About the Role Reporting to the General Manager, the Processing Manager will lead all aspects of the processing plants operation, including metallurgy, laboratory, maintenance interfaces, and production performance. This is a key leadership role responsible for safely and efficiently delivering throughput, recovery, and cost targets while driving operational improvement and team capability development. This position is site-based on a FIFO or DIDO roster. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily processing plant operations, including crushing, grinding, leaching, adsorption, and gold recovery. Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across operations, metallurgy, and laboratory functions. Develop and implement optimisation initiatives to improve recovery, plant availability, and cost efficiency. Ensure compliance with environmental, metallurgical, and safety standards. Manage budgets, production forecasts, and operational reporting. Collaborate with maintenance, mining, and technical services teams to drive performance and alignment. Contribute to strategic planning and support continuous improvement across the processing function. About You Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. 10+ years experience in gold or base metals processing, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Demonstrated success in optimising plant performance and leading multidisciplinary teams. Sound understanding of processing circuits, metallurgical accounting, and cost control. Practical leadership style with strong communication and coaching ability. Safety-focused and proactive in identifying and managing operational risk.
