About the Role Lead the Build team within RUN Platform Engineering to modernize and evolve the software delivery ecosystem for the RUN Core platform. Drive cloud migration enablement, Infrastructure as Code, immutable infrastructure patterns, and DevOps engineering excellence while empowering application teams. Core Mission Define and execute a vision that accelerates delivery, increases platform reliability, and reduces toil through automation, enablement, standardization, and innovation. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Vision Set a vision for the team, own the roadmap and delivery outcomes, and align modernization with enterprise cloud migration strategy and security/compliance guardrails. Technical Leadership Evolve and modernize the .NET build framework, apply best practices for configuration management, drive reproducible infrastructure patterns, create golden image pipelines, standardize CI/CD templates and artifact versioning, champion IaC platform capabilities, enable database developers with automation, improve observability, update system documentation, and champion adoption of GenAI tools. Team & Delivery Lead, coach, and grow a crossfunctional Build engineering team, partner with Platform Engineering teams (DevOps, SRE, DBA), instill agile flow, foster platform enablement mindset, remove bottlenecks, and drive postmortem followthrough. Operational Excellence Reduce build/image lead time and variance, reduce direct engagement through enablement practices, and drive automation coverage for patching, hotfixes, code branch management, release, and rollback. Stakeholder Engagement Interface with application, program, project management, security, architecture, SRE, cloud, release management, and governance groups; translate requirements into a prioritized roadmap, track progress, provide updates, and manage change. Minimum Qualifications BS/BE in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field. 7 years engineering (DevOps / Platform / SRE) with 23 years people leadership. Proven delivery of platform modernization and process optimization initiatives. Experience with onpremises and cloud ecosystems, infrastructure lifecycle, governance, IaC at scale (Terraform), CI/CD orchestration (Jenkins, Ansible). Strong scripting (PowerShell, Python, or Bash), observability and operational metrics implementation, and problemsolving skills. Experience with Packer image pipelines, security & compliance automation, database change automation (Liquibase), zerodowntime delivery, and GenAI tools. Governance of multienvironment artifact/version promotion and technical depth balanced with pragmatic decisionmaking. Tooling Landscape Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure, Terraform, Packer, Jenkins, Ansible, Key Vault, WinRM/PowerShell DSC, Liquibase, Git, artifact repositories, Splunk, Dynatrace, Azure Monitor, Docker, Kubernetes. Certifications (Nice to Have) Azure DevOps Engineer / Architect, Terraform Associate.
