The Control Systems engineer will be involved in technical delivery of projects, including design (software & hardware), development, commissioning and verification & validation activities as direct by the project manager and/or lead engineer.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation of tenders and quotation responsesWork with Business Development Managers as directed to identify and evaluate new opportunities within existing and new marketsCommunicate identified potential opportunities to sales managersProject Delivery:Assist with the development of project delivery methodologiesInterface with clients as needed, within your level of competency and training. Defer responses to senior engineers as appropriateShare technical knowledge with project delivery teams to promote technically correct and accurate solutions within customer requirementsShare experiences to improve operational effectiveness of delivery teamsMaintain awareness of project and task budgets to ensure project scope is met within allocate financial and schedule constraintsConduct PLC, SCADA and HMI Development utilising multiple automation platformsAssist in configuration of networks, servers and work station solutions to meet to needs of our projectsPerform FAT, SAT and commissioning activities on sitePerform tasks as direct by the assigned project manager or the delegated lead engineerTechnical Assistance:Provide engineering advice and support to assist in solving technical issuesWork with assigned project teams to develop engineering solutions to address customers needs and challenges.Provide on-call support via call-out roster to SLA customersTravel to customer sites, as required, to discuss project opportunities, carry out site investigations & audits, and find appropriate cost-effective solutions under the guidance of lead engineers and project managersWork Health and Safety:Responsible for own safety and the safety of othersAccountable for ensuring the safety of the community, our workforce and our contractors is not compromisedPromote Zero Harm and adhere to safety policies and procedures at all times, including those of our customers when performing site works.Adherence to ZI-ARGUS and Client OH&S Policies and ProceduresKey Relationships:Internal:Build working relationships with Service Delivery site staff through system assessments, implementation of improvement actions and ongoing supportEngage with fellow engineering colleagues to further develop technical skillsetExternal:Build working relationships with our client base to enable successful completion of projects within predetermined constraints.Respond to customer requests in consultation with senior/lead engineers, project managers and Operations Manager.Assist our client base by understanding their business needs and driversDecision Making Authority:Independent: Provide technical support and advice in relation project delivery and emerging technologies within their range of qualification and experience.With Input: Consult with senior engineers or Operations Manager for input as and when required.Essential QualificationsTertiary qualification in Electrical/Electronics or a related discipline or related trade backgroundAustralian Driver''s License and VehicleMust have the right to work in AustraliaExperience in designing, developing and diagnosing PLC, RTU, HMI, SCADA and network systemsAbility to interpret control system design documentationSelf-Starter, committed to providing great customer serviceAbility to manage competing tasks and prioritiesSound verbal and written communicationSystematic approach to problem solvingPhysical Requirements of the RoleOffice based tasks, site work including audits, service, installation and commissioning, travel by car.Equal Opportunity StatementOrise is an equal opportunities employer.
