About the Role Youll report directly to the Principal Director Ian Aldridge and be supported through a structured induction to get you up to speed. In your first six months, youll take over a portfolio of local and international trade mark matters, including involvement in upcoming hearings. Youll be set up for success from day one, with handson guidance and ongoing support. Key Responsibilities Advising clients on the registrability and availability of trade marks Conducting clearance searches and preparing risk assessments Preparing and filing Australian and international trade mark applications Managing national and international trade mark portfolios Handling trade mark oppositions, nonuse actions, and other proceedings before IP Australia Drafting submissions, evidence of use, and responses to adverse report examinations Advising on branding strategy, infringement risks, and enforcement options Working with foreign associates on global protection strategies Supporting commercial IP matters e.g., Deeds of Assignment, Licence Agreements, IP Sale Agreements Developing and maintaining strong client relationships About You 3+ years experience as a Trade Mark Attorney or IP Lawyer Ability to work in a remote team environment A selfstarter mentality Confident leading others and building a team Personality its one of our big points of difference Nice to Have 2+ years experience working with SMEs Experience with highlevel design/patent advice Exposure to Office 365, Clio Manage, NetDocuments or similar software Previous experience in team management How To Apply Apply by email: [email protected] with your CV and a tailored cover letter.
