Overview Emergency Vet Nurse - Centre for Animal Referral and Emergency (CARE) As an Emergency and Critical Care nurse at CARE, you will work with a dedicated and knowledgeable team of experienced vets and nurses to care for the broad range of cases we see in our busy Emergency department. Responsibilities Providing exceptional nursing care to critically ill and injured patients from triage through their CARE journey. Assisting with anaesthesia, procedures and surgery; performing diagnostic sample collection and processing tests; and communicating with pet owners, providing guidance and support during highly emotional times. Learning and growing through continuing education support, regular tutorials, and daily rounds. Qualifications Qualified Cert IV veterinary nurse with at least 2+ years'' experience, ideally in emergency or a busy GP clinic. Motivated, conscientious and enthusiastic; comfortable embracing challenges and working with the team to reach solutions. Employment type & schedule Part-time or Full-time role; we are happy to work with successful applicants to achieve a reasonable work-life balance. Combination of day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts. Remuneration is generous and includes significant shift loading for shifts outside weekday daytime hours.
