OverviewSenior Trust Accountant to join The GPT Group in the Group Finance (Funds) team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Funds, you will play a key role in managing the financial reporting of our Funds, including preparing financial statements, unit pricing, tax reporting and managing complex treasury accounting matters.What you will be doingAssisting with preparation of annual and half-yearly financial statements and disclosuresReviewing quarterly taxable income statements and annual tax returnsPreparing quarterly distribution calculationsDrafting accounting treatment memos and liaising with external auditorsProducing periodic debt covenant compliance certificatesManaging hedge accounting relationships, including effectiveness testingOverseeing internal controls around treasury, including debt drawdowns, rate sets and confirmationsSupporting special projects and ad hoc reportingWhat makes you stand outWe are seeking a CA or CPA qualified professional with relevant experience in professional services, treasury, financial services or real estate funds management. You should have a strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly related to treasury, and ideally experience in accounting for treasury instruments such as borrowings, derivatives and foreign exchange.Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, while familiarity with SAP, HFM or treasury management systems such as GTreasury will be highly regarded.Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage a range of stakeholders with professionalism and confidence.
