Lecturer / Senior Lecturer Mechanical Engineering (2 positions available) Location: Gardens Point, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Job reference: 25626 Employment type: Full-time, ongoing basis Salary: AUD $114,000 $135,390 per annum (LEVB) or AUD $139,657 $161,054 per annum (LEVC), inclusive of 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading. About the role Teach and apply high quality instruction in Mechanical Design, Thermodynamics, Solid & Fluid Mechanics, and Dynamics. Contribute to research in advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, biomedical technologies, and advanced modelling and simulation. Lead curriculum innovation and support student supervision. Responsibilities Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across all mechanical engineering streams. Design and assess learning modules, including blended and authentic assessments. Conduct research aligned with Faculty priorities and secure external funding. Publish in peerreviewed journals and present at conferences. Provide academic and career guidance to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Lead and participate in multidisciplinary research teams. Contribute to curriculum redesign and innovation. Take on a leadership role within the School and Faculty. Qualifications Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering or related field. PhD in Mechanical Engineering or closely related discipline. Demonstrated experience in tertiary teaching, including innovative methods. Strong research track record, with publications, grants, and supervision experience. Ability to lead and coordinate research projects. Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. Experience working with industry partners is highly desirable. Capacity to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Leadership experience in teaching and/or research at Level C (if applying for Senior Lecturer).
