In this role, you will oversee pit services, water management, haul road construction and maintenance, and small projects that underpin mining operations.Reporting to the Mining Manager, you will be responsible for:Leading pit services teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective outcomesManaging water systems, haul roads, and ancillary support functionsPlanning and executing small-scale projects to support operational requirementsDriving compliance with Thiess safety, environmental, and operational standardsBuilding strong collaboration with Production, Technical Services, and Maintenance teamsCoaching Supervisors and OCEs to support professional growth and team performanceMonitoring resourcing, labour, and equipment utilisation to achieve cost-effective resultsRoster & location5 days on / 2 days off, with a monthly RDOMount Arthur South is located five kilometres south of Muswellbrook in the Upper Hunter Valley, NSWAbout YouYou will be an experienced mining professional with a strong background in pit services, projects, or ancillary operations in open cut coal.
