As Victoria''s leading Select Entry preparation program, we support small group classes and 1-on-1 consultations to provide personalised guidance and high-quality teaching materials. What You''ll Do Weekly Group Classes Support engaging 2-hour Select Entry classes for small groups of 6-12 students across Years 6-8. Subjects covered: Mathematics (Reasoning / Quantitative subtests), English (Reading / Verbal subtests), Writing (Creative / Persuasive subtests). You will specialise in one subject; you will not be required to do all three. Each session follows a structured approach: content delivery, targeted practice, and assessments. Writing Tutors will mark student submissions and provide prompt, targeted feedback. This marking is flexible and fully compensated. 1-on-1 Tutoring Sessions Provide personalised tutoring to help students with specific questions and reinforce topics theyre struggling with. Text-Based Student Support Respond to student queries via our messaging platform, providing guidance on exam preparation and study strategies, forming mentoring relationships with assigned students. Training & Team Collaboration Complete initial training, participate in team meetings, and assist with basic resource review to maintain program quality. Note: John Monash Science School excluded. 99+ ATAR with 40+ raw scores in VCE Maths (Methods/Specialist/Further) and English (English/Literature/English Language) highly preferred. Experience with competitive examinations (Select Entry, Scholarship exams, GAMSAT, SAT) strongly favoured. Academic awards/desirable. Teaching Experience Tutoring or mentoring experience with younger students; demonstrated passion for education and student development. Personal Requirements Ability to commit for the full academic year (no long absences) Sign an NDA to protect the organisations resources Agree to a non-compete clause (no group tutoring outside Contour) Able to travel to campus locations Genuine desire to help students reach their potential Compensation & Schedule Compensation $30 per hour + Super for all duties including in-class support, 1-on-1 video consultations, text-based question support, and feedback on resources. Training, meetings & additional tasks paid at $25 per hour + Super. You will be paid for every hour contributed to student success. Work Schedule & Training Onboarding in early October at Melbourne CBD campus; in-person training during October and November with ongoing professional development. Regular weekly work includes team meetings (about 1 hour) and classes (8-24 hours/week, after-school and weekend hours across Victorian campuses), plus 1-on-1 consultations (around 4 hours/week, varies seasonally). Flexibility to adjust hours as needed. Program Timeline Start Date: 24 November 2025; Christmas break during Christmas/New Year period.
