Were glad you asked. Basically, youre a creative person in the world of advertising. You may have a background in words, or production, or design, or filmmaking, or art direction (or all of the above) - we dont mind. A Tinker pulls things apart and puts them back together again. They love playing with ideas and bringing them to life. They fiddle and poke and prod until their ideas are working just right. They love coming up with ideas and they love getting those ideas out into the world for everyone else to enjoy.THE TASK AT HANDAs a Lead Design Tinker, youll be developing your design leadership skills within our agency and will be responsible for creative and design leadership across a selection of clients. Youll help mentor and support our more junior Design Tinkers and provide guidance and support across key projects/ accounts. You will collaborate with our Thinkers and Tinkers to produce ambitious and innovative work for our clients. Youve got enough experience behind you to have seen it all before, and when you havent seen it before you can draw on your expertise to work out what to do. Youll need to take the reins and help us build and nurture our design capabilities.As a Lead Design Tinker, you need to have a keen interest and strong skills in design, as well as digital, conceptual ability and originality. As a creative person, you have an insatiable appetite for the latest trends and possess versatility and flair.Youll have three key things to do:1. DESIGN SOLUTIONSYou bring big, bold, awesome design ideas to the table. You know what a big idea is, how it looks and behaves and more importantly, how to embed it into the design.2. DESIGN LEADERSHIPYoure starting to know how to lead yourself to your best designs. You still need guidance, but can be left alone to work shit out for yourself. And youre starting to develop an interest in leading others around you too.3. ACT LIKE A DESIGNER, THINK LIKE A CLIENTYoure working out when to do the right design, for right now. You know when something needs to get done and out the door, but can spot an opportunity to craft something that makes you a little bit giddy with excitement.AND THIS IS WHAT LIFE AT THINKERBELL LOOKS LIKEThinkerbell represents the coming together of scientific enquiry and hard core creativity or as we like to call it, Measured Magic. We also develop personal Measured Magic Indicators (MMIs are our version of KPIs) to ensure everyone is growing in their role and beyond.Whether you are a parent to little humans, the caregiver to your elder folk, or you simply do your best work over 4 days rather than 5 days- we are all ears and we are open to Full Time, Part Time or any ideas that lie in between.We kick off every week with Measured Mondays, our all agency, super-wip and finish every Friday at 4pm with Magic Hour, where we get creative and weird together.On top of your regular leave, everyone also gets a Mind Expansion Project per year, up to 5 consecutive days of extra leave per year for you to expand your mind and explore something new (that is something you wouldnt normally do and something youve never done before), and then share back your experience with the agency.
