Subject to funding and performance.Location: Melbourne CBD + Flexible WorkingAbout the Koorie Youth Council (KYC)The Koorie Youth Council (KYC) is the representative body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in Victoria. Guided by an Executive of 15 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people and our state-wide members, KYC values the diversity and strength of young people as decision-makers. KYC advocates to government and community to advance the rights and representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. By hosting events like the annual Koorie Youth Summit, KYC brings Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people together to amplify their voices for social change.OverviewAs the KYC Content Creator you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging visual, written and multimedia content across a range of digital platforms. This includes managing KYCs social media presence, producing digital campaigns and supporting storytelling initiatives in line with our organisational values and priorities.Key responsibilities include:Creating culturally appropriate written, visual and video content for social media, newsletters, blogs and campaignsManaging and growing KYCs digital presence across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTokDesigning graphics, editing video and producing short-form content for digital engagementCollaborating with young people, staff and stakeholders to develop high-quality, community-led contentMonitoring analytics and providing insights to improve engagement and reachKey Selection CriteriaStrong understanding of the Victorian Aboriginal community and the issues impacting young peopleDemonstrated experience creating written, visual and video content for digital platformsProficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar design toolsExperience managing and growing social media channelsExcellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage respectfully with young people and communityApplication ProcessApplications should be addressed to Bonnie Dukakis, Chief Executive Officer, and sent to [email protected] application must include:A cover letter, including where you saw the role advertisedA current resumeResponses to the Key Selection Criteria outlined in the position descriptionContact details for three referees (including your most recent manager)Keep up to date with news, job vacancies and opportunities at KYC, and our state-wide partnerships, here.If you have any questions please email [email protected] #J-18808-Ljbffr
