Job Summary AEC Woolloongabba is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Emergency Veterinary Nurse to join our dynamic team. As an Emergency Veterinary Nurse, you will play a crucial role providing timely and compassionate care in a fastpaced environment where quick thinking, excellent communication skills, and a passion for emergency and critical care are essential. Responsibilities Permanent fulltime role ideal start date 5th December 2025. Provide highquality nursing care to critically ill and injured animals in the emergency department. Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, surgeries, and treatments. Monitor patients'' vital signs and administer medications as prescribed. Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, Xrays, and ultrasounds. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation is uptodate. Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pet''s condition and treatment plan. Collaborate with other members of the veterinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Requirements Diploma or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years'' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary medical procedures. Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their owners.
