About the Job The National Business Manager Chemist Warehouse is a highly visible, integral business management role within the Opella Sales and CWH Channel team, reporting directly to the Channel Lead Chemist Warehouse. The role has direct responsibility for managing the customer and setting the strategic roadmap through a joint business planning process, delivering flawless execution aligned to Opellas organisational strategies. Success requires close collaboration with commercial strategy, supply, category growth, business intelligence and finance teams. Main Responsibilities Ensure achievement of set sales budgets, execution of agreed account standards and maintain tight control of trade promotional expenditure and operational expenses. Achieve sales targets as nominated. Accountable for volume and revenue forecast accuracy, including sales of the designated Opella portfolio. Ensure all trade promotional expenditure and operational expenses stay within approved budget and contracts are up to date and compliant. Optimise trade spend by developing strategies that improve effectiveness and efficiency. Develop and implement a strategic business plan for Chemist Warehouse, conducting regular meetings and periodic business reviews. Provide clear direction to the sales team and internal stakeholders such as marketing, category, RGM. Build effective execution plans aligned to account standards, including SKU distribution and shelf standards. Create meaningful partnerships with key customer contacts and internal stakeholders to execute strategy and foster accountability. Act as a key role model and internal champion for the channel. Deliver work outputs within timeline and budget constraints. Provide professional monthly reports and feedback to the business, maintaining knowledge of industry, competitor and marketing strategies. Review promotional data with the price/promotion/finance team to ensure trade spend aligns with budgetary guidelines. Qualifications Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Commerce preferred, but not necessary. Negotiation training (e.g. GAP partnerships) preferred. Experience Key Account Management or similar NBM level background within the Pharmacy Channel, preferably Chemist Warehouse. Proven commercial acumen and P&L knowledge. Background in highlevel negotiations. Crossfunctional experience in category, marketing or shopper roles highly advantageous. Skills Analytical and commercially minded sales professional. Effective communication, influencing and facilitation skills. Highlevel customer relationship building and people management skills. Extremely well planned, organised, reliable and diligent. Excellent reporting and computer skills Excel, PowerBI etc. Proactive team player with positive, enthusiastic energy.
