Job overview Are you a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist looking to take the next step in your career? We are looking for an innovative Band 6 Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. This post sits within our acute inpatient team at Perth Royal Infirmary. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, holding your own caseload, providing clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to patients across the older persons medicine pathway. Responsibilities Provide clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to patients in the older persons medicine pathway. Maintain your own caseload within a multidisciplinary team. Support and progress service development in a busy environment. Provide supervision, supervision sessions and appraisals for junior OT staff. Collaborate with the Team Lead OT for both informal and formal supervisions. Qualifications and experience Relevant experience working as an OT within physical rehabilitation services. Excellent communication and decisionmaking skills. Confident approach to multidisciplinary team working within an integrated Health and Social Care setting. We have a comprehensive inservice training programme and staff are encouraged and supported in their continuous professional development. As a senior OT you will be expected to support junior OT staff and have regular supervision sessions and appraisals. In line with the evidence base and the strategic direction of NHS Tayside, the Allied Health Professions will be moving towards 7 day working. This is for improved outcomes and to maximise a personcentred equitable approach to care. Therefore all new contracts for AHP staff will be for a 5 out of 7 day service/rota to enable the service to be ready to move to a safe and effective 7 day service.
