Job DescriptionRemarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world.Job DescriptionRemarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world.Wood is currently recruiting a Construction Supervisor to work within the client project team in Broadmeadows.Reporting to the Project Manager, the applicant will manage the project construction and EHS requirements on site for number of significant projects and ensure compliance is followed and in line with clients policies and procedures.ResponsibilitiesRecommend effective preventative actions in all areas of work including reporting of all incidents and near missesEngage with operational staff to identify high risk activities and EHS support requirementsAssist with planning and review of lift studiesManage/coordinate multiple subcontractors including site access, permitting, work planning, etc.Review subcontractor construction documentation including JSA, lift plans, etc and ensure compliance with supplied documentation.Ensure thorough site compliance including work permits by performing regular audits and investigations and root case analysisEnsures compliance with applicable local, national, industry, and Client health, safety and environment (EHS) laws, regulations, procedures, processes and management systemsDemonstrates the ability to manage uncertainty to achieve a balance in the competing demands of the businessPrepares and submits reports to management on current contract status and recommendations to improve efficiency and effectivenessConduct pre-starts and toolbox talks, participate in HSE weekly meetingsActively engage and communicate with operations and contractor personnel to educate occupational hazard awarenessReport safety leading indicators to the In EHS DirectorQualificationsWhat makes you remarkable?Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety10+ years HSE/construction experience within the pharmaceutical or similar industryExperience managing multi-cultural teams and workforcesSite-based experienceStrong technical skills in EHS management and emergency responsesA desire to be hands-on with a "can-do" attitudeAbility to work autonomously in a fast-paced environmentAbility to drive increased engagement both within your team and the wider businessIf youre an experienced Construction Supervisor, ready for your next project, then we are keen to hear from you today.Only applicants who are Australian citizens or hold the required visa/permit to work in Australia will be considered.Apply now and take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity!About UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
