Resident Wellbeing Assistant - Aged Care Mulgrave, VIC Overview The Royal Freemasons community is looking for experienced and motivated Resident Wellbeing Assistants to join our team at Monash Gardens Residential Aged Care Facility in Mulgrave on a part-time basis. Responsibilities Support the implementation and evaluation of activity programs for residents. Review and complete consumer assessments. Work under the direct supervision of the Lifestyle Coordinator and collaborate with Volunteers, Therapy and Care Staff to provide person-centred holistic care. Requirements For The Role Relevant qualifications in Leisure and Lifestyle or Aged Care. At least 1 year of experience in a similar position. Experience with dementia care, with knowledge of memory support programs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with residents and families. A compassionate approach to managing and supporting elderly residents and individuals with disabilities. Effective interpersonal and written communication skills, including intermediate computer skills. Other Requirements A current, full drivers licence for the State of Victoria which is appropriate for the type of vehicle being driven, and comply with any restrictions on their licence (e.g. wearing glasses). It is mandatory to have a valid Police Clearance or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Clearance, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of this role. All aged care workers are encouraged to receive Covid-19 (3 vaccines) and Flu vaccines. Successful applicants will provide proof of Covid-19 vaccination prior to commencement.
