Economic Development Officer The Economic Development Officer will work with the Principal Economic Development and internal teams to champion industry growth, workforce readiness, innovation, and investment attraction. Build and maintain strong partnerships with businesses, developers, investors, government, and community stakeholders to unlock new opportunities across the region. Provide clear, datadriven insights to guide investment decisions, advocacy, and economic development priorities. Facilitate both private and public investment in priority industries such as tourism infrastructure, accommodation, agritourism, and business precincts. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience delivering strategic projects that impact economic or visitoreconomy growth. Excellent relationship building across industry, government, and community stakeholders. Strong communication skills confident with Councillors, external stakeholders, and internal teams. Current Queensland Cclass drivers licence. Bonus: Understanding of Northern Australias regional context, experience in attracting investment or working on publicprivate partnerships, and familiarity with grant programs supporting tourism and regional infrastructure.
