About the role In this multiskilled role, youll be an integral part of our team, assisting with kitchen, laundry, and general cleaning duties in line with infection control and safety standards for aged care homes. Youll help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our residents, operating equipment safely and following scheduled tasks with care and attention to detail. A positive cando attitude and the ability to work well in a team are essential to delivering these vital services. Responsibilities Assisting in the kitchen with meal preparation, plating, and dishwashing. Completing laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and distribution. Cleaning resident rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to the highest standard. Following cleaning and laundry schedules, and completing associated documentation. Communicating and coordinating with other team members to meet residents needs. Monitoring stock levels for supplies and assisting with ordering and record keeping. Following all Workplace Health and Safety & Infection Control procedures at all times. What you will bring to the role Previous experience in catering, laundry, or domestic assistant roles (aged care experience desirable). Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning practices. A caring nature, and compassion and empathy for the elderly. Strong time management, communication skills, and a teamfocused attitude. Flexibility to work across various shifts, including weekends.
