Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will provide strategic leadership across Finance, Technology (CIO), Commercial, Procurement, Fleet, and the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO). This role will play a key part in advancing Councils asset management maturityoverseeing the financial side of $4billion asset baseand ensuring enterprise projects are effectively linked to longterm renewal and investment strategies. As a trusted advisor, the CFO will lead major commercial initiatives including strategic land acquisitions and sales, driving revenuegenerating initiatives managing the partnership for Councils Atherstone Estate. A strong communicator and natural team player, youll play a pivotal role in telling the financial story of the organisationarticulating performance, progress, and potential opportunities to Councillors, the Audit and Risk Committee, and the community. The successful candidate will bring executivelevel experience in financial management and a proven record of delivering commercial outcomes within complex organisations. Youll combine a strong understanding of privatesector dynamics with a modern, solutionsfocused mindsetbalancing risk, innovation, and accountability. A CPA or CAqualified professional, youll work closely with the Audit and Risk Committee, Victorian Auditor Generals Office and the Essential Services Commission, championing sustainable growth and sound financial governance.
