Reporting directly to the COO, youll be a critical partner in driving financial insights, overseeing forecasting, and guiding strategic decisions across our expanding portfolio of media products, clubs and events. The RoleManagement & OversightManage and mentor the Accountant, overseeing daily finance operations and ensuring accuracy in coding, reconciliations, and month-end close.Review systems and processes to improve cash collection, payment practices, and reporting efficiency.Lead cashflow forecasting, scenario planning, and dynamic financial modelling to support strategic planning.Assess the financial feasibility of new projects, initiatives, and growth opportunities, providing data-backed recommendations to leadership.Financial Analysis & StrategyInterpret financial results to challenge assumptions and drive insight-led decisions.Identify risks and opportunities early, and recommend strategies to improve financial performance and resilience.Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for the CEO and senior leadership.Work closely with executive team to advise on budgets, ROI, and financial implications of key decisions.Provide early warnings, strategic input, and regular reporting to support agile, informed decision-making.Compliance & GovernanceOversee financial compliance with statutory and internal policy requirements.Monitor and improve internal controls, recommending enhancements to strengthen governance as the business scales.5+ years in senior accounting, finance business partnering, or strategic finance roles.Strong capability in cashflow forecasting, financial modelling, and interpreting management reports.Experienced in communicating financial insights to non-financial leaders.Confident overseeing transactional finance staff while keeping hands free for strategic work.Skilled with accounting and reporting tools (e.g., Xero, Excel, Power BI).Youre a big-picture thinker with the detail orientation to back it up. Youre commercially minded, proactive, and love translating complex numbers into clear, strategic advice.
