The Store Manager is responsible for total store execution including but not limited to customer service, merchandising standards, operational procedures, operational controls, people development and driving sales. As Store Manager your first priority is to contribute to the success of your store. This means that you not only deliver in your role as the Store Manager, but you also model leadership behaviours and deliver as a manager on duty. As the Manager on Duty, you deliver results during your assigned time, drive key performance indicators and brand loyalty by leading through your team. The Store Manager is the leader of the management team that sets the tone by embracing and living our values.RequirementsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDuties Will Include But Are Not Limited ToResponsible for Operational Execution and Total Store Follow UpDrives customer experience and sales goalsContinually recruits, hires, trains and retains assistants; identifies internal staff talent and provides opportunities for career path developmentResponsible for managing the executing overall store stands to be consistent with Brand StandardsDrives overall profitability for store focusing on total store sales and expense controlResponsible for ensuring the proper execution of all cash handling policies including opening and closing procedures, daily paperwork, and bank deposits.Ensure compliance with the Ten Tops Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Partners with the Operations Manager and Human Resources for employee coaching / counselling, performance documentation and staff relations mattersReviews all corporate communications and prioritises/plans accordinglyRostering of staff, including roster approvalEnsure weekly, monthly and annual payroll budgets are manager to planEnsures clean and safe environment for staff and customers including sales floor and back room, managers office and bathroomsAuthorises register functions including post voids, returns and discountsEnsures Market Plan and other merchandise directives are executedEnsures the execution of company data integrity process and physical inventory managementOverseas successful receiving and stocking procedures are properly followed and maintainedPartners with the Operations Manager on any store related issuesEnsuring exceptional customer service is executed by all staff through training for high levels of customer engagement and role modelling ideal behavioursHolds all staff accountable for their job responsibilitiesResponsible for floor sets and follow upComplies with Human Resources policies and proceduresPerforms store maintenance including but not limited to taking out garbage, cleaning, maintaining stock roomStrong culture of safety at all times including the correct use of carton cutter, ladders & trolleysThis job description is not all-inclusive. Additional responsibilities will be determined by the Operations Manager, as dictated by store needsEssential Job FunctionsFrequently operate computer and printer, and occasionally operate cash registerFrequently move merchandise weighing up to 10kg and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 1.5-3mFrequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stockFrequently position self to kneel, bend and stoop, including in stock room and on the sales floorMust be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, staff schedules, and standard operating proceduresFrequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with staff.
