The Career Medical Officer (CMO) will provide support to medical specialists in the management of a broad casemix in adult medical surgical and rehabilitation inpatients. To be successful St Vincents Lismore expects excellent clinical skills and judgment with demonstrated competency. Safe, effective patient care is essential. Experience in critical care, cardiology, emergency medicine and/or anaesthetics would be viewed very favourably. Demonstrated clinical experience in adult hospital medicine and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team of health/aligned healthcare professionals is required, along with an understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. In addition, the role covers extended night duty from 16:30 to 08:00 Monday to Thursday, and weekend coverage from 16:30 Friday to 08:00 Monday either whole or in part.
