About The Roles Warrnambool Services Officer/Reserve Conductor - Permanent, Part time (40 hours per fortnight) Geelong Conductor/Services Officer Permanent, Full time Geelong Conductor Permanent, Part time (40 hours per fortnight) Please note that shortlisting and interviews will likely commence early January 26, so you may not hear anything from the team till that time. As a Services Officer/Conductor, you are integral to the success of V/Lines Customer Group. Our Conductor roles are based onboard our trains primarily responsible for the safety of all those onboard. This position requires you to keep in constant communication with the driver via radio, staying up to date with passenger numbers of those boarding and alighting at each stop and capture this data in various V/Line apps. You''ll also be administering first aid and spot cleaning the train as required, the whole time providing exceptional customer service to every one of our passengers. Our Services Officer/Conductors are tasked with the above, plus being the first point of contact for our passengers. This hands-on role will see you selling Mykis, making announcements, coordinating coach activities and de-escalating situations as they arise while making sure that all V/Line passengers are provided with fantastic customer service. You''ll need to stay on the lookout for any risks or hazards around the station, ensuring that the station is neatly presented and always well maintained (including cleaning toilets and washing windows). Keep in mind that you will need to work at 24/7 rotating roster and depending on scheduling and business needs, you may be required to sign on and work at various stations along the South West line within 80km of your home depot. Key accountabilities include: Assist with ticketing, fare checking, and luggage handling Ensure trains are ready for service, from cleanliness to functionality Work through service disruptions and emergency situations with calm professionalism Manage and report any equipment or facility issues About You A true customer service professional, you are punctual, reliable, energetic and your communication skills are second to none.
