The Shire of Halls Creek is seeking a Director Infrastructure & Assets to provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction across the Shires infrastructure, assets, capital works, and essential service delivery. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the CEO, you will: Provide strategic oversight and highlevel leadership across infrastructure planning, asset management, capital projects, and operational service delivery. Ensure Shire assets, roads, and facilities are delivered, maintained, and managed to a high standard, meeting legislative, safety, and community expectations. Strengthen relationships with Aboriginal communities, contractors, funding bodies, and government partners to maximise regional outcomes. Lead multidisciplinary teams with clarity and purpose, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and respectful collaboration. Champion planning, governance, risk management, and longterm sustainability across all infrastructure and assetrelated activities. About You Proven Executive or senior leadership experience in infrastructure management, civil operations, asset management, or local government. A strong ability to set strategic direction while providing handson leadership in a remote and fastpaced environment. Demonstrated cultural competency, including the ability to work respectfully alongside Aboriginal communities. Highlevel stakeholder engagement capability, particularly in crossagency, crosscultural, and regional project environments. Welldeveloped financial, project, and contract management skills, with experience overseeing significant budgets, assets, or capital works programs. A commitment to governance, legislative compliance, continuous improvement, and organisational accountability. A demonstrated commitment to supporting Aboriginal employment and local workforce participation.
