Environment Officer - Enforcement (Ranger)Join to apply for the Environment Officer - Enforcement (Ranger) role at Wollondilly Shire CouncilPermanent Full-Time, 38 hours per week with regular fortnightly RDO. Salary commencing from $84,360 p.a. + 12% Superannuation + allowances including on-call as required of the position. As our community expands, so do the opportunities.As a member of our Ranger Services team, you will discover a meaningful career that offers balance, purpose, and the chance to make a real and lasting impact.Supported by a service-driven team, you will carry out regulatory investigations and enforcement activities, undertake routine parking patrols, assist with the operation of Councils animal shelter, and help deliver public education programs and events across our community.The successful applicant will demonstrate their competency for the position, by meeting the following criteria:Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence and a valid Working with Children Check.Minimum two years relevant work experience in a regulatory and enforcement role.Demonstrated experience in parking patrols including school zones and the issue of associated penalties for these and other offences.Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation relevant to the position.Ability to plan, prioritise, think and solve problems on a day-to-day basis.Demonstrated experience in the preparation of legal evidence, notices, orders and directions.Superior verbal communication, engagement and conflict resolution skills.This position will be required to work out-of-hours, including on-call during the week and weekends as per roster rotation.What we can offer youLocated on Sydneys southern fringe, Wollondilly Shire Council spans 2,560 km of natural bushland, scenic waterways, and vibrant, welcoming communities.Delivering exceptional, high-performing services to our community is fundamental to what we do.
