About this Role MGGS is seeking to appoint a Director of Early Learning to lead and enrich our Early Learning Centre, located at 63 Clowes Street, South Yarra. This fulltime position will commence in Term2,2026, or earlier if possible. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership for the Early Learning Centre, ensuring alignment with the Schools mission, vision, and educational philosophy. Lead the daytoday operations of the ELC, including staffing, compliance, policy management and curriculum delivery. Ensure child safety policies and practices are embedded in all aspects of the Centres operations. Lead, mentor, and support ELC educators to foster collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Partner with families and the school community to build strong relationships that enhance each childs learning journey. Promote the philosophy and values of Melbourne Girls Grammar through community engagement and events. About You Hold an approved Early Childhood bachelor''s degree, Teaching Qualification and current VIT registration. Demonstrated leadership experience in an Early Learning setting. Deep understanding of the VEYLDF and Reggio Emiliainspired practice. Proven ability to lead teams, manage compliance, and ensure bestpractice education and care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children, and families. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated ability to provide strategic and operational leadership in an early childhood setting, including leading teams to deliver highquality programs aligned with VEYLDF and relevant regulatory frameworks. Proven capacity to lead curriculum and pedagogy using evidencebased approaches. Demonstrated ability to build and sustain strong relationships with children, families, staff, and the wider community. Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood legislation, regulatory frameworks (including ACECQA and NQF) and child safety standards.
