Romsey Community Aged Care has an opportunity for a fulltime experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team and assist with general maintenance of our 125 bed Aged Care home. Monday Friday: 09:30 17:36 hrs A friendly, focused, and driven team looks to bring on staff with the right attitudes and values to provide the best care for our residents. Collaboration Accountability Respect Empathy Your role will be to maintain the building and grounds of this brand new, stateoftheart building to a high standard, having regard for the comfort and wellbeing of residents and advising on replacement or repairs as required. You will also have close support from the Maintenance Supervisor on site as well as the Maintenance Manager and GM of Property Services. About You Experienced in building maintenance Experience in gardening/landscaping desirable Knowledge of aged care industry desirable but not essential Understanding of all legislative requirements pertaining to maintenance and repairs (OH&S & Fire/Evacuation) Ability to perform a wide variety of tasks including use of tools and equipment Willingness to contribute to afterhours maintenance requirements from time to time Great communication skills and respect for residents and colleagues Supervise and monitor grounds and systems Contribute to the support of aged care residents by providing quality service with respect to dignity and privacy Essential Victorian driver''s licence Reliable, strong work ethic Valid police check (less than 12 months old) Preferred Trade qualification e.g. landscaping or OHS qualification advantageous Why Work with Us?
