Overview Associate / Senior Associate Cyber, Privacy & Digital Law (Contract role: 36 months, Sydney). Join a global leader in cyber, privacy & digital risk advisory. This role is based in Sydney and involves responding to cyber incidents and delivering legal excellence in a fast-paced digital environment. About the Role You will be a responder to cyber, privacy, and digital law incidents. This role is ideal for an experienced legal professional with expertise in advising on matters related to: Data protection and privacy law Cyber and information law E-commerce including electronic contracting Bid-data analytics, artificial intelligence, biometrics, Internet of Things and cloud Blockchain, cryptocurrencies and NFTs Technology procurement and business process outsourcing Key Responsibilities Act as the first point of contact for clients facing cyber, privacy, and digital law crises. Lead incident response efforts, managing legal, operational, and reputational risks. Oversee a team of high-performing lawyers, providing mentorship and career development. Navigate complex regulatory obligations, investigations, and notification requirements. Partner with global law firms across 180+ jurisdictions, gaining international exposure. Collaborate with industry-leading experts in digital forensics, IT restoration, data risk assessment, and threat actor engagement and extortion negotiations.
