Clinical Nurse Consultant or Psychologist or Social Worker or Occupational Therapist - Senior (Child and Youth Mental Health) Bundaberg Hospital, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia Pay Range: A$128,000 A$143,000 per year Position ID: H WB (Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service) Overview Join our dedicated Child and Youth Mental Health team in delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented care to children, adolescents, and their families within Bundaberg Hospital. As a senior clinician, you will provide expert assessment, treatment, and case management for young people with complex mental health needs, contributing leadership, clinical supervision, and service development within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities Function as a senior clinician within the multidisciplinary team to provide clinical advice, direction and problem solving, goal setting and prioritising for clinical services to consumers and carers experiencing and affected by serious mental disorders and other serious mental health problems across the community to Children and Youth and their families / carers. Qualifications Clinical Expertise Demonstrated advanced skills, knowledge and attitude in care and management of consumers from Child and Youth Mental Health. Communication Demonstrated ability to provide mental health clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery and improvement opportunities. Clinical Ability Demonstrated ability to provide care and management to consumers of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification. Leadership Demonstrated ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to the novice practitioner. Preferred Qualifications Nursing: Mandatory possession of a nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential. Psychologists: Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Psychologist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential. Occupational Therapists: Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as an Occupational Therapist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practising certificate is essential. Social Workers: Mandatory possession of a recognised degree in Social Work, and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Eligibility is dependent on the candidate having completed a University level Social Work degree accredited by the AASW and that the candidate does not have any other outstanding professional competency or ethical issues or complaints known to the AASW which may preclude membership.
