Every Patient Matters.Job DescriptionWe are seeking experienced and passionate Grade 2 Dietitians, to provide inpatient and outpatient care, interested in working with a varied caseload. We have two permanent part-time positions at Camberwell (0.8 FTE) and Hawthorn (0.4 FTE) and will consider two separate appointments based on applications and experience. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Speech Pathology & Dietetics, Continuing Care and Support services (CCSS).Join our interdisciplinary Speech Pathology and Dietetics team working in Rehabilitation, in a role that exposes you to providing specialist therapeutic care in the private health sector, as well as enabling you to contribute to service development of nutrition services. The varied caseload includes neurology, orthopaedics, oncology, cardiac, renal and respiratory patients at Camberwell, as well as multi-trauma and concussion at Hawthorn.We offer a range of clinical supports including supervision and professional development opportunities, as well as links to our wider team within our Epworth network, including the local food service team and the wider MDT. These are two fantastic opportunities not to be missed!You will make an impact by-Promoting and providing dietetic and nutritional intervention across a range of inpatient wards and outpatient servicesWell-developed expertise providing evidence-based treatment including assessment, intervention, discharge planning and risk management to patients and family/carersExperience providing and developing appropriate nutrition education for groupsWorking collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care using a patient-centred approachActively participating in quality activities ensuring opportunities for improvement are actively explored and best practice is achievedParticipating in team professional developmentDemonstrating empathy and compassion and encourage patient and family members participation in all stages of care.To be successful in the role will bring-Previous experience working in a hospital setting (minimum of 4 years)Well-developed time management, prioritisation and communication skillsThe ability to work with key stakeholders to deliver excellent patient care and outcomesA quality and risk focused approach to clinical practice, patient care and decision makingExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsProficiency in computer skills, using Word, Excel and TEAMs and resource developmentRequirementsPosition Description Inherent RequirementsAbout Rehabilitation & Mental HealthEpworth Rehabilitation and Mental Health services are some of the most progressive of their kind in Australia.
