Tasracings newly established Integrity Unit is seeking an experienced Head of Stewarding to lead the Stewards Unit and ensure compliance with racing rules, legislation, and integrity standards across all three codes: thoroughbred, harness, and greyhound racing. This role plans, organises, directs and coordinates stewarding operations, promotes adherence to regulatory frameworks, and manages investigations and inquiries to uphold fairness and Integrity in racing. Reporting to the Chief Racing Integrity Officer, you will: Supervise and monitor compliance with the Rules of Racing and relevant legislation. Promote integrity and ethical conduct across all racing activities. Oversee race meeting operations and stewarding procedures. Review investigation and inquiry processes for compliance and relevance. Manage and review investigations, inquiries, and appeals. Develop and implement policies, protocols, and training programs to maintain best practice. About You To succeed, you will have: Minimum 10 years experience chairing race meetings and managing stewarding services. Comprehensive knowledge of the Rules of Racing, animal welfare legislation, and integrity standards. Proven ability to manage inquiries, prepare briefs of evidence, and appear before tribunals. Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills, with experience mentoring stewards. High-level understanding of regulatory frameworks, policy development, and compliance strategies. Excellent communication and reportwriting skills.
