About our role Based in the Goldfields working on an 8:6 roster, IMC is seeking an experienced Drill and Blast supervisor to join and assist with daytoday coordination, execution and monitoring of drill and blast activities on site. You will support the delivery of safe, efficient and compliant blasting practices while ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved. Your focus in this role Ensure drill and blast crews are appropriately trained, licensed and competent to carry out their duties Experienced with DPI1500 Drills, DR650I Leopard, Planning, Execution of Plan Coordinate and supervise drilling and blasting activities in line with daily, shortterm and longterm mining schedules, daily meetings. Drive a strong safety culture by enforcing safe work practices, compliance standards and hazard awareness across all drill and blast activities Assist the Drill and Blast Superintendent in coordinating operational services as required to achieve planned targets Blasting Practices, QA QC, Nonel and Electric accessories. Supervision of Blasting Team Ensure accurate reporting of drill metres, explosive usage, blast performance and any variances impacting production What Youll Bring Proven experience leading drill and blast crews, ideally in a supervisory capacity WA Shotfirer license and Dangerous Goods Card Statutory Supervisor Training (Section 26) Developed communication skills with the proven ability to build strong interpersonal relationships Strong understanding of drilling methodologies, blasting standards, explosive handling and regulatory compliance Sound computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database systems.
