Medical Officer / General PractitionerSalary: A$338,554.00/yr A$394,591.00/yr.About ADF Health ServicesIn partnership with Bupa, the ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force personnel across Australia.It includes delivering defenceready clinical and support staff across 40+ onbase locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality onsite medical care.About Lavarack Health CentreLavarack Health Centre is located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest Army base in Australia. It provides primary medical, underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical care to approximately 8,000 members and operates a 24/7 inpatient lowdependency ward. Standard operating hours are generally 07001630 MondayFriday (depending on role requirements and craft groups required for weekend shifts).Your ImpactWe are seeking a Medical Officer / General Practitioner to join us in a permanent parttime capacity.As a Medical Officer, you will:Deliver primary medical care in line with professional standards and Defence policies.Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to support Defence personnel.Assess fitness for duty and provide pre and postdeployment medical support.Provide medical technical advice to Defence leadership.Work across outpatient and inpatient care settings as needed.What You Will NeedUnrestricted AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner.FRACGP, FACRRM or Vocational Registration.Minimum two years fulltime (or parttime equivalent) GP experience in the last five years.Australian Citizen for baseline security clearance requirements.Why Join Us?Serco is a trusted partner of the Australian Defence Force, providing integrated healthcare across 40+ bases.
