Millers Foods is currently looking to employ a full time shift Production Manager to work from our Byford based Flour Mill situated 40kms south of Perth.Millers Foods are a 100% Australian owned and operated flour mill. We have been servicing the needs of the baking industry in Western Australia since 1999. In addition to the milling operation we have modern mixing, packing and warehousing facilities which exist for further processing of flour products.We are seeking a full time Flour Mill Production Manager with the ideal candidate having extensive experience in the milling industry.ResponsibilitiesManage and supervise the production of high-quality baking products to strict deadlines, in a safe, organised, and efficient manner.Manage and supervise mill shift personnel and other reports to maintain productivity, plant cleanliness, and overall flour mill performance.Manage the control of on-site bulk stocks of flour and grain.Ensure smooth production flows and shift change management.Liaise with maintenance to ensure upkeep of flour mill plant and equipment to minimise waste reduction and offer process improvements.Ensure the site meets health and safety requirements as legislated by the local government.Monitor the output quality of our baking products including Flour, Meals and Grains.Monitoring compliance with food legislation.Develop a multi-skilled and highly competent workforce.Lead or support continuous improvement activities/projects across the flour mill.QualificationsPrior experience (5 years +) working in a milling environment with a background in understanding wheat and flour production.Tertiary level qualification in business/operations management or an engineering background (preferred).Understands the production flows and processes associated with a large flour mill.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to work across functions and levels.Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve process milling issues to reduce rejection and defect rate.To apply please send a copy of your resume and a covering letter on why you wish to be considered for this role.Job Type: Full-timeAbility to commute/relocate:Byford, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr
