About the Company RSPCA is Australias best known and most respected animal welfare organisation and is an independent, community-based charity providing animal care and protection services across the country with the vision of preventing cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection. About the Role As the People and Safety Manager you will be responsible for leading and integrating the Human Resources and Volunteer teams to deliver best practice WHS, instrument and legislative compliance, people and volunteer management. This includes supporting the organisations people strategy, ensuring compliance with industrial instruments (EBAs, Awards, Fair Work Act), and fostering a positive and safe workplace and culture aligned to the organisations mission and values. Duties Lead, develop, coach, and support the HR and Volunteer teams Advise managers on HR and volunteer-related issues Manage staff and volunteer recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, induction, and training Lead engagement, retention and wellbeing initiatives Act as organisational lead and liaison in all Enterprise Bargaining and Industrial Relations matters Audit and support payroll regarding compliance with EBAs, Awards and related legislation Oversee organisational WHS including RTW processes and WHS, IR, and RTWSA compliance Provide WHS advise and support to ensure a safe and compliant environment Develop policies, procedures, and business plans for people, safety, and volunteer functions Skills & Experience Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related discipline Significant, recent success in a Senior Human Resources Management role Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams Strong working knowledge, interpretation and implementation of WHS, IR and RTWSA legislation Interest in actively participating in RSPCA SA events Culture & Benefits Join a dedicated, passionate workforce and volunteer cohort Lead this critical function of an iconic organisation through a period of growth and development Grow your career and strengthen your professional profile through the broad exposure offered by this role Onsite parking at a state-of-the-art facility, EAP, and staff discounts Make a meaningful impact on the lives of animals and in the community How to Apply Click APPLY to submit your application including cover letter and CV in one document in Microsoft Word only.
