As part of our team, youll help deliver challenging projects, supported by leadership within an inclusive peoplefirst culture.About the RoleBMD is in a significant growth phase with a strong pipeline of projects in hand and as a result, we are looking for a Civil Supervisor to oversee a package of works as part of the Tonkin Highway Extension Alliance team.Offered as a full time and permanent position, you will be responsible for:Work closely with the Superintendent and other key stakeholders in delivering your allocated work scope safely, on time and to the required quality standardsActively drive safe outcomes in undertaking all activities by ensuring that the BMD safety and cultural behaviours are applied by the teamContribute to and support short and mediumterm planning and scheduling for your works area with respect to the overall project requirementsWork closely with all other stakeholders across the Project site in achieving required outcomesEffectively plan works in your allocated areaManage and lead direct labour teams as well as contracting groupsProvide a productive team environment where high morale contributes to the overall success of the projectAbout youGreat people skills and the ability to build trust is a must backed by strong communications skills. You may also:Have 5 years+ supervisory experience ideally within the construction and/or resources sectorPrevious general civils/earthworks experience within main roads projectsAbility to work collaboratively and positively with a range of internal and external stakeholdersStrong attention to detail with the ability to problemsolveProven communicator who can lead and positively influence those around themWe believe our people do their best work when they feel supported, personally and professionally.
