About your role We are looking for a dynamic, selfmotivated individual to help us give back through leading and coordinating our assets & compliance activities. As the Assets and Compliance Coordinator, you will lead the facilities, cleaning and fuel team and manage contractors to ensure that all assets are maintained to a high standard of safety, functionality, and presentation, supporting operational efficiency and a positive customer experience. Key responsibilities Scheduling, coordinating and managing assets and facilities, including both priority and preventative maintenance of retail, fuel facilities and grounds, fleet, plant and equipment. Engaging with contractors to ensure all agreed ongoing scheduled work is completed. Lead and manage a highperforming team of fuel, cleaning, and facilities staff to ensure that facilities are cleaned to a high standard and operationally sound. Review and improve policies and procedures using continuous quality improvement methodology. Oversee administration of the security system and be a focal point for any security work required. Oversee compliance with external regulatory authorities. Facilitate an alarm callout roster in consultation with other departments. Manage emergency procedures, fire responses, and security to ensure customer and staff safety. About you Demonstrated leadership, including experience managing small teams. Demonstrated ability to manage urgent and competing tasks and deadlines, ensuring that priority issues and outages are managed. Knowledge and awareness of organisational risk, including the ability to quickly assess, manage, and manage issues of concern. Proven ability to work as a team member and liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to cope under pressure, work autonomously, and meet deadlines. Proven effective verbal & written communication skills, including experience in preparing written reports and the ability to effectively communicate operational issues. Ability to relate to a wide range of people in an open, friendly, respectful and positive manner. Demonstrated experience using the Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel and MS Teams. Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including participating in or leading relevant committee meetings as the Facilities representative. Willingness to work out of hours as required to ensure facilities and assets are managed. Trade or facilities management background, preferably in a retail and or fuel environment. Experience managing and maintaining assets and facilities, including infrastructure, fleet, generators, refrigeration, fuel sites, property maintenance and preventative maintenance.
