Allied Health Assistant SA Adelaide West Join to apply for the Allied Health Assistant SA Adelaide West role at Plena Healthcare. Your Opportunity: You will be responsible for working under the direction of Physiotherapists / Occupational Therapists to deliver a consistently high standard of clinical service to clients in Residential Aged Care (RAC) settings. As an Allied Health Assistant, your time will consist of both clinical and administrative duties. You will be involved in an innovative way of offering allied health services through our awardwinning 2023 Allied Health Award for Innovative Product Excellence "Plena Care Pathway". This pathway tailors therapy programmes for residents based on their goals, delivering evidencebased mobility and functional programmes, careplan reviews, onetoone therapy interventions and groupbased activeaging services. Responsibilities Assist in delivering all physiotherapy services in accordance with Plena Healthcare operating procedures and policies. Service RAC clients in accordance with Allied Health Professionals treatment plans. Transport residents to and from the therapy gym area or appointments under the direction of physiotherapists/occupational therapists. Set up and pack away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning the area and equipment. Collect referrals and other administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists. Order prescribed equipment. Run exercise groups/programs. Support initiatives to meet client/contract expectations. Consult with the physiotherapist/occupational therapist regarding adaptations, changes, or progressions of treatment plans for clients. Participate in mentoring, supervision and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare policy and procedure.
