Expression of Interest - Parks, Natural Areas, Infrastructure and Facility Maintenance The City of Kwinana is establishing a pool of suitable applicants for various positions in the Citys Parks and Natural Areas Team, Infrastructure Team, and Facility Maintenance. About the City Situated approximately 35km south of Perths CBD, the City of Kwinana is a unique community, set among extensive native bushland public open space. The City is currently undergoing rapid growth in population, investment and industrial Expansion, including Western Australias premier heavy industry zone the Kwinana Industrial Area. PARKS AND NATURAL AREAS The Parks and Natural Area reserves portfolio exist to enhance the quality of life of Kwinana residents, by providing high quality passive and recreational facilities throughout the City. The City has a wide range of parks, natural area reserves and public open spaces, including the enormous 11,000 square metres of play space at the Adventure Park and Skate Park. HORTICULTURALISTS Current MR Drivers Licence and Provide First Aid. Certificate 3 qualification in Horticulture or other relevant tertiary qualifications. Basic Worksite Traffic Management and White Card. PARKS OPERATORS Current MR Drivers Licence, White Card, Basic Worksite Traffic Management and Provide First Aid. Desirable - knowledge of Herbicide Application and Chainsaw Certificate. ENVIRONMENTAL FIELD OFFICERS Cert III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management, or other relevant tertiary qualifications or experience. Current First Aid Certificate and C Licence. Desirable Knowledge of West Australian Native Plant and Weed Species, Knowledge of Herbicide Application, LR Drivers Licence and White Card. RETICULATION MAINTENANCE Current C Drivers Licence, Basic Worksite Traffic Management, Provide First Aid, and White Card. Desirable - Qualification / competencies in Irrigation and MR Drivers Licence. INFRASTRUCTURE The City owns, maintains, and develops the local transportation network. The activities within the infrastructure team include the installation and maintenance of the physical components; roads, footpaths, traffic and pedestrian access and structures, street lighting, drainage, traffic services and safety (e.g., street furniture, signage), as well as the planning, management, and amenity and safety maintenance, to ensure the system is clean, safe, and able to cope with future needs. INFRASTRUCTURE WORKER CONCRETE Current MR Drivers Licence, Provide First Aid, Basic Worksite Traffic Management, and White Card. INFRASTRUCTURE WORKER ROADS AND DRAINAGE Current HR Drivers Licence, Basic Worksite Traffic Management, White Card, Provide First Aid. Desirable - Wheel Loader Competency. FACILITY MAINTENANCE The Citys building asset portfolio consists of a variety of building types and sizes, with various plant and equipment. Kwinana has an extensive portfolio of properties and buildings used to accommodate staff, and to provide services to residents and visitors. The Facility Maintenance Team ensures the Citys buildings are clean and maintained. PROPERTY SERVICES OFFICER Current C Drivers Licence, Provide First Aid, and Working at Heights. Desirable Ability to attain a level 3 Playground Safety Auditor Certification. FACILITY CLEANER Current Drivers Licence.
