Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description DARWIN SHIP REPAIR PTY LTD (DSR) is a member of the Paspaley Pearls Group. With six dry repair berths and three wet berths, the DSR shipyard is Darwins leading provider in all facets of ship repair, engineering, and maintenance. Remuneration: $90,000 $125,000 per year. Responsibilities Assist engineers in executing works on fleet vessels during refit periods and drydocking. Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on vessel machinery under the guidance of Engineers. Undertake fitting, assembly, disassembly, installation and repair tasks of mechanical components of ship systems. Perform repairs and maintenance on pearling assets, including farm and shellhandling equipment if required. Repair and maintain machines and equipment by replacing or repairing faulty parts. Operate machines and equipment to fabricate metal components. Test and adjust machines and equipment to ensure proper functioning. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Use hand and power tools as well as machinery to modify and repair components. Maintain and manage all engineering tools and equipment designated for fleet support. Maintain designated workstation and ensure it is always kept clean. Maintain daily communication and strong working relationship with Project Controllers regarding ongoing works. Qualifications Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III or higher. Construction White Card. Drivers License. At least two years of fulltime experience.
