Working with state-of-the-art equipment and resources, our shared commitment to professional excellence continues to keep our customers safe.Join our team as a Wheel and Brakes Aircraft Technician and play a critical role in ensuring the safety and performance of our fleet. In this specialised position, youll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of aircraft wheel assemblies and braking systems. Your expertise will help maintain optimal braking performance, manage wear and tear, and ensure compliance with aviation safety standards.For the successful candidate, there will also be the potential for product certification qualification (NLCS) to be attained after a minimum qualification period (subject to performance and availability).Youll have Certificate IV in Aeroskills, or the ability to successfully transfer your qualifications through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process OR an Allied trade qualification or Australian recognised equivalent qualificationPrior experience working within components (Wheels & Brakes) advantageousCommitment to being customer focused with flexibility and willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as requiredGood communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staffDemonstrated ability to work safety and adhering to all safety and compliance proceduresHigh attention to detail and ability to comply with Qantas Maintenance proceduresThe ability to work to tight timelines with minimal supervisionFlexibility with the ability to meet changing departmental requirementsWe''ve worked hard to create a culture that will challenge and excite you - and give you the support you need to really go places.
