Due to company growth, we are seeking a permanent, full-time, experienced Civil Vacuum Excavation & Hydrojetting operator. Responsibilities Operation of vacuum excavation and drain cleaning unit and associated equipment for potholing/NDD of underground services, cleaning of stormwater pipelines. Locate services: power, communications, water, gas, drainage & sewer. Return all written defect reports to the Workshop for action. Carry out all periodic services. Complete daily paperwork. Comply with all IMS procedures and policies. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and serviceability of company vehicles. Educational and Experience Requirements Have a current HR unrestricted drivers licence. Trained and accredited to operate High Pressure Water Jetting Systems (MSMSS00004) and to operate a Drain Cleaning System (MSMSS00019 or MSMWJ305). Have a WHS General Construction Induction Certificate (White Card). Hold a Senior First Aid Certificate. Hold a current Working in Confined Space ticket with BA (desirable). Hold a valid Construction Industry WHS White Card. Hold a Working Safely at Heights ticket. Be flexible with availability and able to work weekends, evenings and emergency call outs as required. Be able to undertake occasional away works. Hold full Australian working rights. Have knowledge of smartphone and tablet operating systems. Have a strong yet logical approach to workplace health and safety. Have previous experience in Vacuum Excavation and Drain Cleaning. Have general knowledge of plant and servicing requirements for periodic services. Be physically fit and healthy to perform manual tasks. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Be a reliable, safe and cautious truck driver. Have demonstrated organisational abilities and time management skills. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team. Ability to communicate with clients at all levels. Have a practical common-sense approach to all tasks undertaken. Applicants with service locating experience will be considered favourably.
