This permanent parttime position (4 hours a week) offers a unique opportunity to deliver highquality clinical care to people from refugee backgrounds and those seeking asylum, supporting their access to healthcare and improving health outcomes within a culturally diverse community. What youll be doing As a General Practitioner at the Mater Refugee Complex Care Clinic, you will provide comprehensive clinical care including management of acute and chronic conditions, health assessments, and complex case coordination. You will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and community partners to support patients navigating the healthcare system. Your role will also involve utilising accredited interpreters, providing evidencebased care, and contributing to continuous quality improvement within the service. About you To be considered for the position you should have: Registered Medical Practitioner with AHPRA and FRACGP or ACRRM qualification Eligible for Medicare provider number for billing purposes Minimum three years experience as a GP, preferably with refugee or immigrant health experience Skilled in working with culturally diverse populations and accredited interpreters Strong communication, clinical, and organisational skills with a commitment to collaborative care Knowledgeable about social determinants of health and refugee health care Commitment to contribute to quality improvement and evidenceinformed practice Mater is Queenslands largest notforprofit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
