THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT The Corruption and Crime Commission (the Commission) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to improve the integrity of and reduce the incidence of serious misconduct and corruption in the Western Australian Government Sector. The Operations Directorate is responsible for the Commission''s investigations. It''s two business units, Investigations and Operations Support, work together to proactively identify and investigate allegations of serious misconduct and unexplained wealth. The Commission''s investigations focus on systemic and complex matters, many of which require the use of specialist capabilities. THE INTEREST REGISTER The Interest Register allows you to register your interest for temporary opportunities at the Corruption and Crime Commission. This is a great opportunity to get a foot in the door and experience what the Commission has to offer. You only need to register your interest once, and your application will remain on our register until 1 March 2026. The register will be used to identify suitable applicants to fill temporary vacancies or secondments that may arise, for up to twelve (12) months in duration. These may include a variety of positions from Level 3 to Level 7 in a range of disciplines (with respective allowances). We will actively monitor the register and will contact you if an opportunity arises that suits your skills and experience. Please be aware there is no guarantee that an offer of employment will be made while an application remains on the register. The occupant of any position will be required to undergo and maintain a security clearance to Negative Vetting 1. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for people with skills or experience in any of the areas listed below, to work in a multi-disciplinary technical environment like no other. Information Technology Systems and Service Delivery The Commission maintains an advanced information technology suite and is seeking people with skills managing contemporary enterprise IT platforms and IT Service delivery. For example: VMware, Horizon, End-User Compute (EUC), On-premises Compute and Storage, DevOps, Cisco, Networking, Firewalls, VPN, Windows Server, Linux, ITIL, Service Desk, or similar. Cybersecurity The Commission is responsible for ensuring the technology that supports the Commission''s specialist capabilities is protected from cybersecurity threats, is highly available, and is operating in a manner that supports continuous service delivery. We are seeking people with skills in cybersecurity processes and technologies. For example: Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Cybersecurity controls, Essential 8, NIST, SIEM, CISSP, CASP+, or similar. The Commission leverages a wide variety of data for the benefit of our Investigations and Intelligence functions. We need people who that can turn raw data from a variety of sources and data structures into actionable evidence and intelligence. For example: Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), Entity Resolution (ER), DevOps, SQL, Python, Neo4j, Cassandra, PowerBI, or similar. Telecommunications Interception (TI) and Electronic Collection The Commission is an interception agency, with the ability to receive intercepted and stored communications. We are seeking people with skills and experience in managing TI delivery and processing platforms. For example: ETSI Standards, ASN.1 Analysis, TCP/IP, Wireshark, Coding, Scripting, VoIP, Telecommunications, Warrant Provisioning, or similar. The Commission acquires a wide variety of digital evidence, and to support this maintains advanced forensics tools and capabilities. We are seeking people with skills and experience in Digital Forensic tools and processes. For example: Mobile Forensics, Computer Forensics, eDiscovery, Computer Science, SANS GCFE, CCE, or similar. Technical Surveillance The Commission relies on specialised covert surveillance capabilities to support complex investigations. We are seeking people with skills and experience in field-based surveillance and technical collections, capability development, and technical support. For example: Covert Surveillance, Surveillance Device Systems, CCTV, Use of Force, Covert Method of Entry (CMOE), CAD, engineering, fabrication and licenced electrical workers.
