Practice Support Lead / Senior Legal Assistant Join to apply for the Practice Support Lead / Senior Legal Assistant role at Shine Lawyers The Opportunity At Shine, we champion better justice for our clients. As a fulltime, permanent Practice Support Lead / Senior Paralegal in our TAC & WorkCover team, youll work closely with our legal team to make a meaningful, longlasting impact for our clients. Youll work closely with our Geelong and Sunshine personal injury legal team, leading a strong legal support team of six, while supporting lawyers on their files across WorkCover and TAC cases. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced senior legal assistant to take the next step in their career, stretching yourself with deeper responsibility for client matters, and leadership of a team of your own. While this role is full time, were open to considering candidates who require some flexibility let''s talk. You have the flexibility to work from either our Sunshine or Geelong office, your choice! However, youll need to travel to the other office at least once a week, depending on your selected location. Driving client outcomes and performance across a dedicated team of six WorkCover and TAC paralegals and administration assistants who provide high quality support to our authors. Coaching your team to provide exceptional client service using our client service guiding principles, building trusting relationships with clients supporting them throughout their legal journey. Setting your team members up for success, supporting them to perform in their role. You will foster a culture of continuous learning and development and identify opportunities for improvement. Managing a portfolio of WorkCover and TAC claims. Supporting the Sunshine legal practice manager to achieve their goals which contributes to the overall success of the practice. Working with our solicitors to successfully support them with daytoday operations of files/client management. Preparing matters for conference and hearing, including preparation of court and legal documents and general correspondence. Using your high attention to detail to draft briefs and documents, such as claim forms and schedule of damages. What youll bring Demonstrated experience in personal injury as either a legal assistant or paralegal, with an interest in managing a small team of legal support professionals. A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret relevant legislation and legal documentation. Enjoy working on legally challenging and factually complex matters. The maturity and confidence to support clients who may be experiencing trauma. A desire to be part of a strong, cohesive team that works together to get great results. A commitment to truly connect with those around you and work together to deliver exceptional results for our clients. A keen eye for detail in your drafting skills. Youll be a great communicator both verbally and in writing. Youll recognise and value the importance of your role in being the gateway to support our clients.
